Incorta Appoints Maneesh Joshi as Chief Marketing Officer

Incorta, the industry's first hyperconverged analytics company, today announced that Maneesh Joshi has joined the company as chief marketing officer (CMO). In this role, Joshi looks forward to scaling the business and taking the company public.

Joshi joins Incorta from AppDynamics, a market leader in the application performance management (APM) space, where he was part of the executive team that scaled the company in advance of its proposed IPO, resulting in Cisco's (News - Alert) last-minute $3.7 billion buy.

"I'm excited to be joining Incorta at a key time," Joshi said. "Some of the largest and most sophisticated data-driven organizations have validated Incorta by deploying it in their production environments. I'm very excited to partner with the executive team to scale up the business and disrupt this massive market."

"I'm very pleased to welcome Maneesh to Incorta," said Osama Elkady, chief executive officer (CEO) of Incorta. "He is a seasoned enterprise professional with a rare blend of technical skills and business acumen and has made key contributions to many successful organizations. Maneesh brings a wealth of experience in strategy and operational excellence at hypergrowth organizations, and I couldn't have asked for a better partner to spearhead our marketing and help shape this next phase of our journey."

"Traditional data warehouses struggle to support querying of large and complex datasets that are typical of today's analytical workloads. In order to work around this query engine ineficiency, enterprises are forced to simplify their datasets using data modeling and extract-transform-load (ETL) techniques," added Joshi. "These techniques are costly, cumbersome, and brittle and would be rendered unnecessary only if the query engine could scale. Incorta's Direct Data MappingTM fundamentally addresses this limitation and unlocks insights into the most complex data sets in real time. IT can deliver the first report in hours and then feed business' data curiosity, also in real time."

Most recently, Joshi was vice president and general manager of AppDynamics' cloud platforms business unit, before which he was chief of staff to the company's CEO. Joshi has also played product marketing executive roles at SnapLogic, Informatica, and Oracle (News - Alert). He started his career as a developer and ran engineering for Oracle Fusion Middleware's integration product suite. He holds a B.S. in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he graduated with honors. He also earned an M.S. in engineering from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
