Poets & Quants Ranks Jack Welch Management Institute as a Top Online MBA, Leader in MBA Experience and Career Outcomes

The Jack Welch Management Institute (JWMI) was named a top online MBA program for 2019 by Poets & Quants, a premier graduate business education website. Among the online MBA subcategories, the school garnered the top rating for "alumni perceptions of the quality of their professors" and second highest rating for MBA experience. JWMI was ranked number one in students' ability to immediately apply learnings on the job.

"Our goal at JWMI is to prepare our students to solve the real-world business challenges they'll face on a daily basis," said Jack Welch, Executive Chairman and Founder of JWMI. "We're honored to be included in Poets & Quants' rankings - joining so many other schools we admire and respect - and to know that our students feel that our program is helping them advance and be the best they can be in their careers."

In addition to ranking JWMI second in online experience, Poets & Quants also ranked the school in the top 10 for career outcomes, which was calculated based on survey responses from alumni on factors related to career outcomes including, but not limited to, their success in reaching their goals, available career readiness tools and changes in salary.

Alumni perceptions of JWMI faculty garnered the highest score of any institution, 9.74 on a 10-point scale. University of Southern California and Carnegie Mellon University, with scores of 9.52 and 9.48 respectively, were not far behind.

Poets & Quants surveyed business students who have graduated in the past two years. Its methodology focused on the caliber of incoming students, recent graduates' opinions of academic and extracurricular opportunities, and students' professional outcomes. The University of Southern California's Marshall School Of Business online program topped the list. Other schools' online programs that made the list include Carnegie Mellon University Tepper School of Business and the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, among others.

Since becoming part of Strayer University in 2012, JWMI has grown rapidly and graduated over 1,300 working professionals. Jack Welch designed JWMI to provide students wit opportunities to learn from business leaders and propel their careers forward.

The online program is also ranked as a top online MBA program by The Princeton Review and CEO Magazine. Serving as mentors, JWMI faculty bring decades of professional experience to the program from top companies including Merck and Co., Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, American Cancer Society and more. JWMI currently enrolls a diverse population of approximately 2,000 students, representing 47 U.S. states and 56 countries.
