ANSI Releases Agenda for October 18 Joint Member Forum on Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence


NEW YORK, Oct. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has released the agenda for its Joint Member Forum (JMF), Empowered by Innovation: Cutting-Edge Technologies Driving Real-World Solutions, October 18, 2018, in Washington, DC. The forum will explore concrete applications of two of the most transformative technologies propelling organizational/business advancement today: blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI).

Representative James Grant of the Florida House of Representatives will provide a keynote address on leveraging blockchain and other tech innovations for the benefit of diverse stakeholder groups, setting the stage for the day's panel discussions. A frequent speaker on innovation and healthcare IT, Mr. Grant serves as Chairman of Health Quality and sits on the Health and Human Services, Healthcare Appropriations, Commerce, Justice Appropriations, and Civil Justice committees in the Florida House of Representatives.

Following the keynote, expert panelists from a range of industries/sectors – including health care, ITC, transportation, shipping, food safety, and government – will discuss real-world applications of blockchain and AI, as well as the standards and conformance activities that have contributed to the deployment or are needed. Interactive dialogue and audience Q&A will be encouraged during each of the two panel sessions, structured as follows:

Panel 1: How Blockchain Is Transforming the Supply Chain
Experts will share how their organizations are using blockchain for supply chain security, and potential applications that may provide additional solutions for many types of companies and organizations.
