Polarity Named a 2018 Cool Vendor in Gartner Report "Employee Engagement and Enablement in the Digital Workplace"

FARMINGTON, Conn., Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Polarity, the memory augmentation platform that makes teams smarter, announced that it has been included in the list of "Cool Vendors" by the leading analyst firm Gartner.

Polarity has been recognized as a Cool Vendor in the September 6th, 2018 report titled, "Cool Vendors in Employee Engagement and Enablement in the Digital Workplace" by Adam Preset, Craig Roth, Federica Troni, Marty Resnick, Tuong Nguyen, Jim Hare, and Christopher Trueman. Vendors selected for the "Cool Vendors" report are innovative, impactful, and intriguing.

Polarity augments human memory using computer vision to create on-screen overlays, like a heads-up display for analysts' computers giving them data awareness and recall.  In the report, one of Gartner's key findings is how "Computer vision is demonstrating its value and flexibility as a technology enabler that enhances worker effectiveness with just-in-time information."

"Our computer vision algorithms are the key for us to enable complete cross-workflow and cross-team collaboration without requiring teams to log in to one single platform to collaborate," stated Ed Dorsey, CTO and co-founder of Polarity. "Analyzing the pixels on users' computer screens allows Polarity to augment every tool or application used by any team."

Another key finding of the report is how "New vendors are rethinking the collaboration tool categories that employees work with every day, looking to make a mark with a focus on business workflows, differentiated features and deployment options."

"Being included in this list of companies is an honor and we are thankful to all of our customers, employees, and investors who see the importance ofcreating new collaboration tool categories," commented Paul Battista, CEO and co-founder of Polarity. "Being at the forefront of the creation of the memory augmentation category has enabled us to see the value first-hand from our user community of high-performing teams."

One of Gartner's recommendations from the report is how "Application leaders responsible for digital workplace application initiatives should: Augment worker memory by using visual recognition technology and tools to enable better knowledge access and sharing to improve employee effectiveness."

Despite being in the new memory augmentation category, Polarity's customers already include 6 percent of Fortune 100, multiple Fortune 500, US Federal Government and even small 20 person startups.  Polarity has been previously named Top 10 Most Innovative Startup by MIT Sloan's CIO Symposium, Infosec Startup of the Year by Cyber Defense Magazine, and Best Memory Augmentation Platform by Cyber Defense Magazine.

About Polarity
Polarity has found that humans are good at analysis but bad at recall. Whether it's a cyber analyst looking for threats, a financial analyst doing research, or anyone else in need of increased awareness - Polarity improves decision making by allowing users to capture, recall, and share intelligence across any workflow.

Users annotate any string with information worth sharing or remembering. This could be notes on a customer, evidence from an investigation, or intelligence on a threat. Polarity then recognizes what teams have annotated at the pixel level, enabling collaboration across any workflow. This instantly activates the collective memory data with entire teams and toolsets. Then, Polarity incorporates teams' annotations into an actual heads-up display (or HUD) for their desktops.  By drawing directly on screens, Polarity provides superhuman data awareness and recall without affecting existing workflows.

In addition to the collective memory, the Polarity user community has built over 60 integrations with most of them open sourced for the whole community to use. When users subscribe to integration data they are able to leverage that data as part of the overlay across all of their tools and workflows.
