Data Theorem has named Silicon Valley entrepreneurial and technology executive Doug Dooley as its new Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Dooley is responsible for Data Theorem's go-to-market and product strategies, and leads the company's customer success, marketing, product management, and sales functions.

"Data Theorem has experienced rapid growth and global interest due to our unique modern application security solution, and we are gearing up for the next phase of the company's growth," said Himanshu Dwivedi, Data heorem founder and CEO. "We are pleased to add Doug to our executive team to help us not only meet the demand we are seeing, but to continue to rapidly expand our presence. We will rely on his expertise and vast network of connections as we work to meet our customer demand and partner opportunities."

In addition, the company has moved its corporate headquarters location to 532 Emerson (News - Alert) Street, Palo Alto, Calif., where it will begin the new phase of the company's growth. The new larger facility is equipped to house Data Theorem's expanding Engineering/R&D, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success teams.

Data Theorem's TrustKit, a free open-source security library, is the industry's first solution to significantly ease the equipping of mobile apps with Transport Layer Security (TLS) pinning. TrustKit delivers protection for data transmission in modern apps superior to security in web browser applications. TrustKit has a growing community of thousands of application developers, allowing it to further "anti-eavesdropping" as a new standard in mobile app security. Data Theorem recently announced that TrustKit has identified more than 100 million eavesdropping attempts on iOS and Android (News - Alert) applications, where apps in active mode have blocked 100 percent of those attempts.

About Doug Dooley

Before joining Data Theorem, Dooley worked in venture capital leading investments in cloud-centric infrastructure, machine learning, and security startups for Venrock. Dooley served on the boards and led the investment of VeloCloud (now VMWare), Niara (now HPE Aruba), and Evident.io (now Palo Alto (News - Alert) Networks) during his tenure at Venrock. Prior to Venrock, Dooley spent almost two decades as an entrepreneur and technology executive at some of the most innovative and market dominant technology infrastructure companies - ranging from large corporations such as Cisco (News - Alert) and Intel to security and virtualization startups such as Neoteris, NetScreen, and RingCube. Earlier in his career, he held various management, engineering, sales, and marketing roles at Juniper Networks, Inktomi, and Nortel (News - Alert) Networks. Dooley earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech.
