Secure Channels Announces Beta Testing of New XFA Mail from the XOTIC Platform at Black Hat USA 2018

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Secure Channels, a winner of the InfoSec Award 2018 for "Encryption, Cutting Edge", announced today it will unveil several new data security solutions at Black Hat USA 2018 in the "Innovation City" exhibit and showcase its cutting-edge security solutions at the world's leading information security event with more than 17,000 InfoSec professionals.

Event attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about Secure Channels' solutions that address the need for superior data encryption as well as the regulatory compliance requirements surrounding data protection. To fill the needs gap posed by these demands, Secure Channels released Pattern Key, Multi-Segment, Multi-Standard (PKMS2) – an enterprise-level platform purpose built to meet the current and the future five-year needs of the modern data-centric enterprise across multiple platforms and incorporates a rich feature set of functionality for any size organization. PKMS2 provides increased protection against both "Brute-Force" attacks and threats posed by advances in quantum computing. The solution is available as web service (API) which can be consumed on a per-transaction basis or purchased via yearly subscription (SDK) and easily "dropped-in" to customer applications in place of existing AES libraries.

As an innovator and recognized industry leader in data protection and encryption solutions, Secure Channels also recently introduced its patented SUBROSA© (Simple User Based Resource Oriented Segmentation Architecture) solution. This patented solution allows users to vastly improve their password security through choosing unique data resources to develop complex cryptographic keys. It's a vital part of a multi-factor authentication strategy, and provides users with personalized cryptographic authentication available on any device. SUBROSA is also extensible to other file formats, and can be used with audio, film, and other file types.

Secure Channels also announced an upcoming cryptanalysis of its XOTIC™ encryption platform erformed by renowned Chief Security Architect & Cryptographer at InfoSec Global, Dr. Tomislav Nad, from the Graz University of Technology in Styria, Austria. Secure Channels intends publish the mathematical proofs and white paper at the end of this month.

XOTIC is a patented new streaming cipher protocol that offers more flexibility and speed than other commercial programs. One of the developed use-case products of XOTIC is XFA Mail (XOTIC File Attachment), one of four individually-patented parts of the platform. With XFA, users can dramatically increase the security of email messages using satellite-based secure key exchange global network. XFA Mail does not use PKI-based encryption, so managing public-private key pairs is unnecessary. XFA Mail uses a double-blind key exchange, so neither the email sender or recipient have access to cryptographic keys. This protects email content against phishing, social engineering, and man-in-the middle attacks. In an XFA Mail exchange, the email sender and recipient must be registered either individually or using Active Directory so the identities of XFA Mail users are verified. This non-PKI based secure key exchange and XFA Mail platform design allow for the individual or enterprise to maintain full control over the custody of their emails and the secure key exchange servers do not maintain any emails, security tokens or key component information. The solution works seamlessly with standard email clients such as Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo!, POP3 and IMAP and offers encrypted protection without increasing the file size of an email attachment.

XFA's capabilities will be offered to 100 conference attendees as part of an exclusive "Founders Club" of beta testers. These individuals will receive access to the platform for one year and will be encouraged to provide quality feedback for six months to help refine the UI and product features. Secure Channels frequently creates feedback groups in order to fix any bugs and improve the user experience.

"We're thrilled to participate in one of our industry's most important events and to be part of more than 17,000 InfoSec professionals evaluating new security solutions," said Richard Blech, Chief Executive Officer of Secure Channels Inc.
