National Interstate Extends Marathon Partnership Through 2021National Interstate Insurance Company ("National Interstate") is proud to announce that the company has pledged its continued support of the Akron Children's Hospital Akron Marathon Race Series for the next three years. Entering its fourth year, the Akron Marathon Race Series consists of three races that take runners through the neighborhoods of Akron, building their mileage to run September's marquee event - the FirstEnergy Akron Marathon, Half Marathon and Team Relay. The National Interstate 8k & 1 Mile course runs through downtown Akron and The University of Akron campus, before finishing on the 50-yard line of Summa Field inside InfoCision (News - Alert) Stadium. Built for speed, the course accommodates both runners and walkers of all abilities. The 2018 edition of the race will be held Saturday, June 30 at 8:30 a.m. The popular finisher festival will include a craft beer festival and live band throughout the morning.
