Domex Superfresh Growers Installs ePortID's ePortID PalmClock™ Based on Fujitsu's Industry-Leading PalmSecure® F-Pro Biometric Technology

Superfresh Growers, headquartered in Yakima, WA, is a world leader in tree fruit growing, packing and shipping. ePortID and Superfresh Growers selected Fujitsu's newest generation sensor, F-Pro, the smallest, fastest and most accurate palm vein sensor for their enterprise wide Time and Attendance solution.

Superfresh Growers has been growing fruit throughout the Pacific Northwest for more than 125 years. Superfresh Growers sells fruit domestically, as well as exports fresh fruits to over 42 countries, handling over 20 million cartons of produce annually. Due to the nature of the business which has wide seasonal spikes in customer demand, a single time-and-attendance collection platform that works across the entire enterprise, including dispersed warehouses and farms, is highly desirable.

PalmSecure biometric palm vein sensors use a near-infrared light to capture a user's palm vein pattern, generating a unique biometric template that is matched against the palm vein patterns of pre-registered users. Unlike other biometric readers, the PalmSecure device does not come into contact with the skin, making it extremely hygienic, non-intrusive and unrestricted by external factors such as skin types, topical lotions, and other conditions. Additionally, unlike other biometric technologies where a certain percentage of the public cannot register for one reason or another, PalmSecure technology has never failed to register a user.

Fujitsu's biometric solutions, PalmSecure sensors and PalmSecure for SSO (single sign-on) only recognize the palm vein pattern if blood is actively flowing within the individual's veins, so forgery is virtually impossible. This advanced, vascular pattern recognition technology not only provides highly reliable authentication with low false accept and reject rates, but also allows for fast and easy enrollment.
