Grant Thornton names Kevin Baril national managing principal of InnovationGrant Thornton (News - Alert) LLP has named Kevin Baril as the firm's national managing principal of Innovation. In this newly created role, Baril will ensure that innovation is central to Grant Thornton's services model. This will include launching new internal and client platforms and leading innovation investment and commercialization, as well as co-innovation with Grant Thornton's clients. Previously, Baril was a principal on Grant Thornton's Business Consulting & Technology team in Advisory Services. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, he served as vice president of Global Business Services (GBS) at IBM with oversight of the North American GBS opportunistic client segment. Before IBM, he was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers (News - Alert) LLP's Management Consulting Services group, focused on systems consulting. He received a master's of business administration degree and a bachelor's degree in information systems and economics from Babson College.
