Grant Thornton Managing Principal Jim Peko named 'Top 25 Consultant'


Jim Peko, national managing principal of Transaction Services (News - Alert) for Grant Thornton LLP, has been named to Consulting magazine's 2018 Top 25 Consultants list.

The annual listing, which honors the 25 professionals who are making the greatest impact within the consulting industry, recognized Peko for his "Excellence in Leadership."

As Grant Thornton's (News - Alert) national Transaction Services leader, Peko guides a wide range of clients through mergers and acquisitions, integrations and separations, valuations, carve-outs, restructurings and other strategic transactions. He has extensive experience working with companies to create, protect and transform value through prudent advice and innovative solutions.

"He has successfully built a high-growth practice focused on value creation in a volatile market through his innovative leadership and people-first management style."

Peko has increased the firm's Transaction Services revenue year-over-year-and created a $100M transaction-advisory practice. He has more tha 25 years of experience providing clients financial advisory, investment banking and capital markets services. He specializes in assisting companies in transition, including those with financial and operational challenges.



"His ability to take educated risks and act decisively not only sets an incredible example for our colleagues, but makes him an integral asset for clients," added Sastry. "He has created a culture that enables our teams to truly listen to client needs and provide first-class services."

Peko is a member of Grant Thornton's Partnership Board. He is a chartered financial analyst and a certified insolvency and restructuring advisor. He received a master's of business administration degree in finance from Fordham University and a bachelor's degree in economics and accounting from St. Peter's College.


Consulting magazine will honor this year's recipients at the Top 25 Consultants awards dinner at the Mandarin Oriental in New York on Thursday, June 14.
