Ultimate Software Ranked #2 on Best Workplaces in Canada List

Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions in the cloud, announced today that it has been ranked #2 on the Best Workplaces in Canada list for 2018 by Great Place to Work. The list is based on employee feedback and in-depth reviews of workplace cultures at hundreds of organizations across Canada.

"Every day at Ultimate, we dedicate ourselves to putting people first, and that starts with our employees," said Vivian Maza, chief people officer at Ultimate. "Our commitment to people serves as the foundation for all we do at Ultimate. It drives our employee-centric culture, innovative HR solutions, and personalized customer service. By developing and protecting a workplace rooted in care, trust, and respect for all individuals, we empower our employees to achieve more in their professional and personal lives, while helping our customers and their own people to grow and thrive. We're honoured to receive this recognition and grateful for our people. Without them, we wouldn't be where we are today."

Ultimate fosters the career success of its people through ongoing learning, mentorship, and leadership-development programs. Employees are also encouraged to join and participate in Ultimate's diverse Communities of Interest: PrideUS for LGBTQIA individuals; Women in Leadership for women at all levels of the organization; UltiVETS for veterans and active service members; and UltiHOPE, established in October 2017 as a support network for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers.

As part of a comprehensive benefits package for Canada-based employees, Ultimate provides extended healthcare coverage for all employees and their families; a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with a 40% match on all employee contributions; paid maternity and adoption leave (10 weeks each), as well as paid paternity leave (4 weeks); unlimited PTO throughout the year; three annual paid service days for employees to volunteer at charities of their choosing; and an annual stipend (up to $300 per child) to help cover costs of extracurricular activities. Ultimate also offers a companywide wellness program, with access to onsite group-exercise classes (yoga and boot camps). Additional offerings include free daily snacks and weekly lunches, birthday celebrations, team outings, video games, table tennis, foosball, and more.

Ranking for the Best Workplaces in Canada 2018 list are based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from employee survey responses, and one-third from a thorough review of the organization's culture. Together, the results provide crucial data relative to five trust-building dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie. More than 80,000 employees across Canada participated in Great Place to Work's 2018 Trust Index survey.
