Cenozon Releases HydroFlow to Prepare for Elevated Seasonal Water Levels

Cenozon Inc., a leading supplier of comprehensive oil and gas software solutions, announced the release of HydroFlow in anticipation of elevated seasonal water flow levels associated with Spring. HydroFlow is a software application that monitors and automatically notifies pipeline operators of abnormal stream flow conditions associated to their pipeline water and provides critical insight with historical water level records (where available).

Combining real-time stream flow data with the user's pipeline water crossing data, HydroFlow employs data visualization and geospatial mapping technology to provide a visual snapshot of pipeline crossings and associated water gauges. Operators can define their own water level thresholds or tolerance levels for their water crossings, and if conditions exceed the specified acceptable range, they receive an automatic notification so they can assess if further action is required.

HydroFlow was developed to assist pipeline operators and integrity management teams to identify and proactively manage potential risk resulting from river erosion and/or abnormal stream flow conditions. As a standalone, cloud-based application, HydroFlow can be used with the operator's existing data and risk managemen system or as part of Cenozon's Pipeline Integrity Risk Manager (PIRM) software for a comprehensive and robust approach to risk management.

"Our clients have piloted HydroFlow with overwhelmingly positive reviews since its soft launch last Fall," states Rui Wang, President. "We already developed a HydroFlow case study whereby a user was able to access previously unknown historical water levels for a particular area, and noticed several abnormal water flow occurrences over the past 15-20 years. Using this information, they identified a potentially vulnerable water crossing and were able to proactively take action to mitigate further risk."

Mr. Wang adds, "We know water crossing management is of paramount importance to pipeline operators. In anticipation of higher water levels from Spring rainfall following near-record snowfalls throughout the winter, now is the perfect time for operators to implement HydroFlow as part of their risk management programs."
