Kollective: 62% of Workers Expect Face-to-Face Time with Their CEOs

62% of workers expect to be able to communicate with their CEOs face-to-face. That's according to research from enterprise content delivery network Kollective, which will be showcased on March 12th at this year's Enterprise Connect (News - Alert) event in Orlando, Florida.

The Kollective study, carried out with more than 2,000 US and UK office workers, highlights that employees are dissatisfied with the updates they receive from their senior teams, with less than half (49%) saying that they are happy with the current communication provided by their CEOs and leadership teams.

The research also highlights how traditional methods of communication are now falling short of expectations, with only 38% of employees being happy with email as a way to communicate and fewer than one in five wanting to receive updates in the form of written documents.

In the place of written documents, video communication is becoming the new normal, with 30% of employees saying they expect to catch-up with the CEOs over video chat.

Commenting on the findings: Dan Vetras, CEO of Kollective, said: "It's clear that employees now expect significantly more face-to-face time with their COs. But in an organisation with more than 10,000 people it can be difficult for business leaders to make time for everyone."

"Live streaming, 'virtual town hall' meetings and video newsletters are a great way to overcome these issues. Using video can help leaders bridge the visibility gap, reaching global locations and remote workers across the organisation. Greater face-time is also helping CEOs to connect with millennial employees, using video technology to communicate on a more personal level."

Kollective will be at Enterprise Connect (booth 833) in Orlando, Florida from March 12-14, showcasing how software-defined networking can help the 'Everywhere CEO' stay visible across global organisations. Kollective will also be offering those at the show the chance to win a half day of strategic consulting or a free proof of concept installation of the Kollective platform, to help improve existing network and video speeds.
