BitcoinLatina Foundation Commits One Million BCL Tokens to TopiaCoin's Initial Coin Offering, Scheduled for March 5, 2018

Topia Technology announced today a commitment from BitcoinLatina Foundation that will further enable the company to bring its security expertise to decentralized systems in early 2019 through TopiaCoin, the first secure network for sharing digital assets.

Today, blockchain does not provide data security. It only provides a method of consensus that is immutable. Topia Technology is combining its patented data security technology for shredding and encrypting data with the power and transparency of blockchain. This will enable individuals and businesses to easily and securely share any digital asset without a central server and with the confidence that each transaction is performed in a manner agreed upon by the blockchain.

"We are committed to working with the blockchain community to advance data security," said Janine Terrano, CEO, Topia Technology. "We are excited to partner with an existing custmer, BitcoinLatina Foundation, to bring data security to decentralized systems. This partnership represents a giant step forward in enabling consumers and enterprises to use the resources on the internet without going through a central authority."

Topia Technology is leveraging Secrata, its existing data security technology that provides end-to-end encryption from and to any device, and combining it with a new network that will support multiple applications that are decentralized. Instead of routing everything through a cloud provider, TopiaCoin's new network will support collectives, or micro-networks that can be defined by the users, and the data won't ever be accessible by anyone other than those in the network. This will enable consumers, companies and government agencies to securely share information with only the individuals and organizations they choose.

"BitcoinLatina understands the critical need to provide security to our community," said John Gotts, Founder and CEO of BitcoinLatina. "We look forward to working with individuals, enterprises, academic institutions and governments in Central and South America that need to protect their data. We have been searching for an end-to-end solution that will bring data security to blockchain and we are passionate about TopiaCoin and its ability to provide that solution."

BitcoinLatina Foundation is a for-profit corporation whose mission is to promote trust, use and adoption of BitcoinLatina amongst businesses, governments, universities and consumers in Latin America. BitcoinLatina is currently using Topia Technology's Secrata to bring data security to mobile devices, big data and cloud workloads.

Topia's Initial Coin Offering, for accredited investors only, is scheduled for March 5, 2018. Topia is currently in a private pre-sale and will announce funds received prior to the offering date.
