Fujitsu to feature new and innovative Self-Checkout Systems at NRF 2018 to address retail and grocery store segmentsFujitsu Frontech North America Inc., a leader in innovative technology and front-end solutions has announced today that they will be featuring new cash handling and cashless self-checkout solutions in the Fujitsu (News - Alert) Group booth #3907 at the National Retail Federation 2018 annual show at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, January 14-16, 2018. To support the latest industry trends for reducing in-store operating costs, the hybrid self-checkout systems demonstrated will still provide a high level of functionality for cash and coin handling if necessary and cashless options at a fraction of the size and cost of traditional self-checkout systems. To further lower a retailers total cost of ownership, these new self-checkout systems leverage many of the same market-tested and proven parts used by Fujitsu's Genesis II self-checkout systems that will also be on display in the booth. "These systems, available at far less the cost and size of traditional self-checkout systems, will enable retailers to provide better customer service by freeing labor now devoted to checkout and redeploying them to enhance immediate fulfillment within the store." Fujitsu will also be showcasing its Ventur™ cash box safes and enclosures which focus on fast "go to market" applications for integration partners. The Ventur features a Fujitsu GSR50 bill recycling unit with optional coin recycler, a NUC processor and 7" on-board touch screen LCD which enables fast, low cost deployment. Fujitsu's Ventur can be deployed as a branded, or white label the unit. Many of Fujitsu's partners will also be demonstrating an array of other components and solutions to address requirements in retail industry verticals. Revolution Retail Systems will be demonstrating the Paragon™ Series cash management system, which features the Fujitsu G750L bill recycling unit, for back-office cash management in larger format stores.
