Senator Van Hollen to Spotlight Maryland Scientific and Economic Development Advancements


Senator Van Hollen will join the leaders of Maryland biotechnology company GlycoMimetics for a tour of the company's facilities before participating in a roundtable discussion on the economic and societal value of biotech innovation.

Senator Van Hollen will learn more about prospects for, and impediments to, the continued growth of this high-wage industry in Maryland. The Senator also will discuss the potentially significant effects of the federal health care policy and budget debates.
