LOOrank Launches New Free Mobile App to Rate, Review and Share Photos of Public WashroomsNEW YORK, Nov. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- LOOrank, a free, new mobile app that allows users to rate and review more than 100 million toilets all over the world, has launched on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Philippe Braekman, Martin Leyshon and Ben van Zutphen, the creators of the app, were frustrated and often left angry at the sheer number of poor and unhygienic toilets and washrooms they encountered while in restaurants, hotels, airports, companies, shopping centers, and more. While there are some services available allowing users to find local toilets, that's not the purpose of LOOrank. It was developed to help raise hygiene standards across the world by creating a community that watches over the standards of any public establishment. "In a restaurant, for instance, we believe toilets are a reflection of the kitchen, and a reflection of the philosophy of any business in any industry," says Braekman. "As a result, we believe LOOrank's rating is as important as a TripAdvisor or Google Places rating. We believe hygiene matters and so do hundreds of millions of other people. Now they can join our army of LOOrankers and keep establishments accountable." The app has a simple user-interface that allows users to rate, review and share photos. Users can search for and rate washrooms using geo-location, leave 5-star ratings (0 to 5), content reviews, share one of more photos, and edit and delete ratings. Users aso have a status in the app based on how many ratings and reviews they have provided. They can move through the ranks from "Reviewer" (1 to 5 ratings), "Silver" (5 to 10), "Gold" (10+), "Star" (20+), "Commander" (50+), "Royalty" (100+), all the way to "Imperial status" (500+). The idea is to provide constructive criticism or praise, which will allow the owners of these facilities to be held accountable.
