"In addition to new projects abroad, we are actively looking for ways to help schools in need throughout the United States."

The charitable arm of Gate 1 Travel has also made improvements to its website,, and is now accepting monetary donations from the public for the first time ever. The donations will directly support primary schools worldwide situated in locales of economic hardship along Gate 1 Travel tour routes.

"It's our hope that by inviting travelers to give back to global education, we can further improve the learning environment for these children and increase their chances at a prosperous life," added Zisling.

In addition to monetary donations, the Gate 1 Foundation provides travelers with the opportunity to visit some of the schools and interact with students through a program exclusive to Gate 1 Travel.
