Tyler Technologies to Provide Enterprise Resource Planning Solution to Large South Carolina School District

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) signed an agreement with the Berkeley County School District (BCSD) in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, for Tyler's Munis® enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. The solution includes financial and human capital management, and the agreement includes implementation, project management, data conversion, training, and support services.

The BCSD was operating on outdated software that consisted of multiple databases, and with the accelerated growth in the county due to new industry moving into the area, the district needed a software solution that would be able to handle increased projected enrollment and anticipated operational challenges for its 44 schools. Tyler went through an extensive review process, which included a third-party consultant review. Ultimately, the district selected Tyler for its best-in-class ERP solution that would manage the district's financial and human capital informtion and can accommodate the anticipated growth.

Tyler's Munis solution will provide the district with a common database, which will display a real-time view of data and transactions. It will also improve electronic workflow for the district, integrate with BCSD's other systems, and aggregate reporting as needed. Finally, the solution can be sustained over time and easily maintained, upgraded, and integrated as the district evolves.

Berkeley County is located just north of Charleston, South Carolina, and is the fastest-growing county in the state by population. The school district serves more than 34,000 students ranging from pre-school to high school and operates 44 schools. Tyler also provides its EnerGov™ planning, regulatory and maintenance solution to Berkeley County.
