Yapta Announces Best Match™ Capability as Part of Automated Hotel Rebooking Initiative

Yapta, the leading provider of airfare and hotel price tracking services, today initiated its plans for a phased roll-out of the first and only automated hotel re-booking service that utilizes proprietary technology to re-book "savings eligible" hotel reservations directly within the GDS, without the need of an agent to assist. Utilizing Yapta's (News - Alert) innovative Best Match functionality, corporate travel managers can simply "green-light" specific hotel reservations for unassisted re-booking.

Yapta's proprietary Best Match functionality allows for precision in determining which opportunities a travel manager wants automatically re-booked. As part of the configuration of Best Match settings, travel managers can select from a set of key hotel criteria to determine the Best Match for their company - including properties with the exact same rate code, same bed type, same room type (i.e. view, superior, suite), same or better cancelation policy, and same or better amenities. Travel managers can also target properties with negotiated rates only, and with commissionable rates.

"Identification of savings is only the first step - it's the conversion of those identified savings into realized savings that is meaningful to a corporation's bottom line," said Valerie Layman, Chief Product & Services Officer for Yapta. "Capitalizing on savings opportunities requires a hotel rebooking technology that is truly automated end-to-end. Our Best Match capability is an important first step towards full automation and it signals to corporae travel managers our commitment to zero traveler impact and improving agent operational efficiencies."

In the initial roll-out phase, Yapta will streamline the agent-led rebooking process by programming functions that can execute at the same high level of precision and accuracy, with an eye towards launching a fully automated rebooking solution. The development of Best Match functionality furthers Yapta's ability to optimize company savings without causing disruption to the traveler.

The majority of Yapta's customers presently using RoomIQ, Yapta's hotel price tracking and analytics solution, are expected to be using the Best Match functionality by the end of July. Yapta is the pioneer of automated technology for price assurance, having launched its auto re-ticketing capability to over 5,000 companies using FareIQ, Yapta's airfare price tracking technology.

"Yapta is 100 percent committed to maximizing savings for its clients, and our pursuit of automated hotel rebooking is just another example of how we're delivering on that mission," said James Filsinger, President and CEO of Yapta. "Together with airfare auto-reticketing, we're the only technology company able to provide leading companies with total trip automation and the unprecedented opportunity to save, all while bringing efficiencies to our TMC (News - Alert) partners."

As the only company that provides total trip price assurance, Yapta has delivered more than $80 million in airfare and hotel savings to companies around the world. On average, companies see a combined savings of $369 per trip by tracking both airfare and hotel prices together with Yapta.
