BlackRock Becomes Linux Foundation Gold Member

SAN FRANCISCO, May 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit advancing professional open source management for mass collaboration, announced that BlackRock has become a Gold Member of the foundation. BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, is a global leader in investment management, risk management and advisory services.

BlackRock has joined The Linux Foundation as a Gold member, which includes training, marketing and consulting resources to support their contribution to open source technologies and to help sharpen their open source skills. The firm is deeply involved in open source projects every single day, including those hosted by The Linux Foundation such as Hyperledger, Kubernetes, Node.js and OpenAPI, and they have invested in companies in the open source space.
