Broadband Technology Report Announces Opening Of Twelfth Annual Diamond Technology Reviews, New Format

NASHUA, N.H., May 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Broadband Technology Report (http://www.btreport.net/index.html) is excited to announce the opening of the twelfth annual Diamond Technology Reviews program (https://diamondtechreviews.secure-platform.com/a/organizations/main/home). New this year, rather than merely rating each entry, BTR's panel of independent judges will determine finalists and winners in 16 categories (CPE, Wi-Fi Solutions, Cabling and Accessories, Active Network Hardware, FTTH/Optical Access Platforms, Video Distribution Solutions, Video Processing Solutions, CCAP Systems, SDN/NFV/Cloud, Optical Transport/Carrier Ethernet, Content Discovery, Back Office, Video Content Security, Monitoring & Analysis, Field Test Instruments, Network-Level Test Instruments). Winners will be announced October 18 at a reception during the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver, CO.

Entries for the 2017 Diamond Technology Reviews are currently being accepted. The early-bird deadline for submissions is June 12. The final deadline is June 16.

Submitted products must be new since last year's SCTE Cable-Tec Expo or have received a major upgrade since that time. Products introduced before or at last year's SCTE Cable-Tec Expo that have not been upgraded significantly in the past yearare not eligible for submission.

The 2016 Reviews recognized the work of nearly 30 industry leaders, whose entries received a score of at least 3.5 Diamonds on a scale of 1 to 5 from the DTR panel of judges (https://diamondtechreviews.secure-platform.com/a/page/prevhonorees). This year, entries that receive a score of at least 3.5 Diamonds will attain Finalist status in their respective categories. The highest scoring product in each category will be declared that category's Winner at the reception October 18.

The judging panel will consist of executives from cable operators, well-known industry consultants, and other thought leaders within the cable community. The names of the 2017 panel members will not be released prior to the review process in the interest of maintaining the full independent integrity of the ranking process.
