SuperECG: BeatScanner App for Your Rhythms

BeatScanner utilizes the extremely sensitive built-in accelerometer and gyroscope sensors in your phone or pad to accurately detect the tiniest of movements. After a 15 second to 2 minute measurement the data is automatically analyzed by BeatScanner powerful cloud-based analysis software, which calculates a score based on the degree of variability in the detected rhythm.

"The score calcuated by BeatScanner analysis software tells you the amount of variation in the rhythm. The less irregular the rhythm, the lower the score. Green color indicates a low level of irregularity, yellow indicates a somewhat irregular rhythm and red indicates an irregular rhythm", says Mr Ossi Tiihonen, founder, SuperECG.com.

To analyze your heart beats, simply lie back for example in a chair or on a bed. Place the phone or pad on the upper chest region where it rests mostly on bone. When the device is placed on bone the vibrations will be detected more accurately by the app. Make sure the device will remain steady during the measurement and be careful not to drop it.

BeatScanner's powerful analytics also enables beat and rhythm analysis on animals. Detecting arrhythmias on animals with the aid of traditional ECG devices may prove challenging whereas BeatScanner only requires the animal be calm and not moving.

BeatScanner app is available for download at the App Store and Google Play Store. The app is optimized for iOS 8.0 or later and Samsung (News - Alert) S6 and S7 smartphones.

About

The BeatScanner app was developed by engineers, specialist physicians, and technological forerunners who have previously developed analysis software and remote diagnostics services specializing in the automatic analysis of for example cardiac arrhythmia and ECG. As experts in remote diagnostics and analytics we strive to make high-quality analysis available to all.
