Brightstar Expands North American Footprint with Acquisition of Ontario-based WirelessWorks


Brightstar (News - Alert) Corp., the world's leading mobile products, services and technology organization, today announced the acquisition of Ontario-based WirelessWorks, a specialized consulting and solutions provider for mobile network operators and device manufacturers.

Brightstar currently offers device protection solutions in Canada and, with this investment, Brightstar will establish its first permanent presence in the country to serve as a platform for introducing services across the entire device lifecycle for device manufacturers, mobile network operators, retailers and enterprises. Additionally, Brightstar is the largest specialized wireless distributor in the world, and will work to grow distribution channel reach for leading smartphone, tablet, and mobile accessory brands.

Estblished in 2010, WirelessWorks provides a wide range of engineering services, including mobile network planning and design, device test and certification. Additionally, the WirelessWorks team provides specialized consulting services and training solutions to customers in the telecom industry.
