The iFit Life Booth Demonstrates a Healthy "Internet of Things" at #CES2015

At CES (News - Alert) this year, iFit®, the world's most connected fitness platform, demonstrates a healthy version of "The Internet of Things" at the iFit booth #74321 in the Sands Expo Center.

iFit is available to consumers in three forms:

  • iFit-ready, Internet-connected products such as a bed, fitness equipment, scale and kitchen appliance
  • a range of fitness wearables including a new line of iFit-branded GPS trackers
  • iFit subscription service that links a healthy life: exercise, nutrition, sleep, tracking, work and more.
iFit provides each member with personalized, "smart" recommendations influenced and based on the data from other iFit devices throughout the day.

"Consumers are drowning in tracker band data," said Director of iFit Mark Watterson. "iFit takes its tracker data, as well as information from a range of other iFit-ready devices, and uses that data as a springboard to personalized suggestions for a healthy life."

Watch as live models move through a day on the #iFitLife stage to demonstrate how iFit connects, literally, all the elements of your healthy life:

- waking in an Internet-connected iFit bed that monitors and optimizes your sleep

  • emailing while walking on a web-enabled NordicTrack desk treadmill
  • drinking a health beverage with Internet-connected kitchen appliances with personalized micronutrient dosage, based on today's workout and other factors
  • training on a ProForm cardio-strength fusion machine to web-streamed video
  • running a Google (News - Alert) Maps course of the Boston Marathon while iFit automatically adjusts the incline and decline to mimic the actual course
  • wearing Bluetoot BLE connected Altra Halo running shoes to gauge cadence, strike zone and ground force
  • tracking running route on iFit GPS Ridge wearables and re-experience the same route on iFit-ready treadmills

"iFit connects to your fitness lifestyle, collecting and analyzing your activities wherever you go, from the bedroom to the office to the kitchen and more," said Watterson. "iFit provides you with the personalized instruction you need to live a healthier life."

The #iFitLife theme at the iFit® booth shows two of the "5 Tech Trends to Watch in 2015" forecasted by the CEA for 2015: the Internet of Things (#IoT) and Digital Health & Fitness.
