Ambitious Accelero underpins future success with COMPTIA accreditation ; ADVERTISEMENT FEATURE [Western Mail (Wales)]

(Western Mail (Wales) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BRIDGEND-BASED Accelero Digital Solutions has prepared itself for further growth with the support of the CompTIA Trustmark accreditation programme available through Software Alliance Wales - an EU-backed programme led by Swansea University.

The company specialises in bespoke software development and manages the entire software lifecycle, from capturing requirements through design and development to ongoing maintenance and support.

Following continued success the company was looking for ways in which to prepare itself for further growth and expansion - in terms of services and technologies it provides, as well as taking on new staff and clients.

Accelero's Wynne Crompton, commercial director and co-founder, said: "We wanted to set ourselves up for success. The services and software packages that we develop and provide to customers are very unique and we wanted to have the foundations in place to continue researching and developing these, which would ultimately lead to more growth for the company and help us achieve our ambitions as a business." Co-founder and managing director Kelvin Jones and Mr Crompton set up Accelero in January 2006 with an innovative and creative approach to bespoke software engineering - the mantra that software has the power to accelerate the realisation of clients' ideas and maximise their business potential.

By using their proven EnGenero toolset based on a design-centric approach and code generation, the company is able to efficiently deliver consistent and high quality applications that meet clients' needs.

Mr Crompton said: "We achieve this by fostering and developing enduring relationships with our clients, partners and with those interested in pushing forward the frontiers of software engineering.

"It's the longevity, depth and quality of these relationships that are important and vital factors in enabling our clients to establish and maintain a leading market position, and in sustaining our own growth.

"We aspire to be a global player in the creation of software engineering tools. As such, we are driven by our core values - innovation, consistency and quality." Accelero decided to opt for the CompTIA Accredit UK Trustmark+ accreditation from Software Alliance Wales in order to help meet and maintain these goals.

The IT industry accreditation provides recognition of its current work and processes and also supports continued improvement.

Mr Crompton said: "At the time of working towards accreditation, overall business growth and business process refinement were the key focus for us.

"We understood that the CompTIA Trustmark programme could provide support and guidance to do so and thereby help us establish a foundation for business improvement and growth - and that's exactly what it's done." Since achieving the CompTIA Accredit UK Trustmark+ accreditation Accelero has been able to invest more time in working towards its ambitious goals and objectives.

Mr Crompton said: "The CompTIA programme supported and guided our work.

"We've built a solid process for SUPPORT FROM SOFTWARE ALLIANCE WALES Accelero Digital achieved the COMPTIA Accredit UK Trustmark+ with the support from Software Alliance Wales, and is now one of an elite but growing number of accredited companies in the UK.
