Cabinet approves Jordan's joining IMSO [Jordan News Agency](Jordan News Agency Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Amman, Aug 31 (Petra) â€" The Council of Ministers on Sunday gave the green light for Jordan to join the Convention on International Mobile Satellite Organization (IMSO) that oversees certain public satellite safety and security communication services. In a session chaired by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, the ministers noted IMSO's importance in the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System, distress alerting and search and rescue co-ordination communications that help maritime protection and safety.
