Sen. Nelson Introduces Bill on Application of Medicare Secondary Payer Rules to Workers' Compensation Settlement Agreements

Bill Nelson, D-Fla., has introduced legislation (S. 2731) to "amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for the application of Medicare secondary payer rules to certain workers' compensation settlement agreements and qualified Medicare set-aside provisions." The bill was introduced on July 31 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio.



The legislation was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
