BRIEF: Free computer, Internet classes offered at DeVry University [Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, Calif. :: ]


(Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (CA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) July 25--POMONA -- A free class designed to familiarize adults with computers and the Internet will be offered at DeVry University's Pomona campus starting Monday.

The class will meet from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at DeVry University, 901 Corporate Center Drive. The class will conclude Aug. 8, according to a statement from One Million New Internet Users, which is the group offering the course.



The goal is to help people learn to operate a computer and how to access the Internet and use it to access information for health, banking, shopping and educational uses.

The class is offered in English and in Spanish.


Those who complete the class will be entered into a drawing for a refurbished computer.

People can sign up for the course the day the class meets.
