BRIEF: Camden man tapped to serve as business manager for Rockland-area school district [Bangor Daily News, Maine :: ](Bangor Daily News (ME) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) July 04--ROCKLAND, Maine -- A Camden man is being nominated to serve as the Rockland-area school district's next business manager. The nomination of Peter Orne to serve as business manager is on the Regional School Unit 13's July 10 agenda. Orne holds a series of jobs, including running Blind Squirrel Consulting LLC, consulting for Swans Island Blankets, running the back office for Cappy's Chowder House in Camden and working as a licensed associate real estate broker for ERA Cousens Realty of Rockland. From 1993 to 2001, he worked for radio stations such as WRKD and WMCM in Rockland. He has a bachelor's degree in economics and is working on a degree in forensic accounting and audit from Southern New Hampshire University. Orne would succeed Scott Vaitones, whose contract was not renewed after it ended last month. While the board is scheduled to fill that vacancy, another was created with the resignation of transportation director Todd Johnston.
