BRIEF: Olson retiring from Winnebago's board [Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, Iowa :: ]


(Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier (IA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) June 29--FOREST CITY -- Osage native Robert Olson is retiring from the board of directors at Forest City-based Winnebago Industries, the company announced last week.

Olson said he he will not seek re-election and will retire from his position on the board when his current term expires at the company's annual meeting Dec. 16.

Olson previously served as Winnebago's chairman, chief executive officer and president, retiring from active employment in February 2012 after 43 years with the recreational vehicle manufacturer.



"Bob has been invaluable to Winnebago," current Chairman, CEO and President Randy Potts, a Waterloo native, said. "He brought a tremendous depth of knowledge to his position on the Board from his tenure as a great leader and employee of Winnebago Industries." Olson's position on the board will be filled by a candidate chosen through vote among shareholders at the annual meeting.
