Cameroon's Camair-Co gets new boss [Agence de Presse Africaine]


(Agence de Presse Africaine Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The aviation specialist and Mayor of Bazou (Western Cameroon), Nana Sandjo, has been appointed general manager of Cameroon Airlines Corporation (Camair-Co), at the end of a special session of the Board of Directors held Friday in Yaounde, official sources told APA.Mr. Sandjo, formerly the company's administrator, will replace Frédéric Mbotto Edimo, who headed the company since September 11, 2013.



Nana Sandjo comes on board at a moment when Camair-Co, launched in late March 2011 with a fleet of two aircrafts, is crippling under heavy debt estimated between CFA 9 and 10 billion.

The state-owned company has been planning for more than a year to open its capital to 51 percent of the shares.
