SONY REJIGS TEAM TO MAKE MOBILE BUSINESS BEEP LOUDER(Indian Business Insight Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Sony India has lined up over 30 launches in 2014-2015 in an effort to emerge as the number two smartphone maker in India. As part of this effort, it has also made changes in its leadership team in the mobile phone business. Taro Yamamoto, who was earlier heading the car audio division, has been appointed as the new head for mobile phones business. Tadato Kimura, who was heading the mobile phones business, is moving to Sony Europe. Previous head of Vaio division Vijay Singh Jaiswal is now heading sales. Sachin Dev Rai has been made the head of marketing. Sony India expects the smartphone business to contribute almost 40 percent of its targeted total revenue of Rs12,000 crore in 2014-2015. |
