Qatar,Tunisia : ACCELERATOR enters partnership with QFF; secures 26M TND from QATARI FUND [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The so far very discreet Startup Factory, a Tunisian accelerator that mobile operator Ooredoo (then called Tunisiana) launched a few years ago will be the talk of the town during the following months. The accelerator has secured 26 million TND (approx. $16 million USD) so far from the Qatari fund. This it did after setting up a partnership with the Qatar Friendship Fund (QFF) a Qatari fund that has so far invested USD $100 million in total in establishments working to develop entrepreneurial culture in Tunisia. The accelerator may well become an entrepreneurial center, under the name Intilaq (which means 'start' in Arabic). The director general of Intilaq, Khaled Ben Younes, said this would be the first time that such 'end-to-end' support has been provided in Tunisia.
