International Exhibition Featuring Loneliness to Open in NCKU
TAINAN, Taiwan --(Business Wire)--
An exhibition featuring loneliness, traveling and memory of modern life
will go on display at the Art Center of National Cheng Kung University
(NCKU), southern Taiwan, June 17-20.
The exhibition is led by Assistant Professor Ming Turner of NCKU
Institute of Creative Industries Design (ICID), and is conducted by five
MA and PhD students from the Institute.
A total of 21 international artists, from Croatia, Serbia, Hong Kong,
China and Taiwan, are taking part in the ehibition, according to
Professor Turner.
She said, "The show is curated with due consideration for issues related
to loneliness, traveling and memory."
A wide range of media, including videos, multi-media installation,
photography, painting and performance will be presented in the
exhibition.
Apart from exhibiting her latest installation work, the renowned
calligraphy artist, Ching-Chwang Ho, will be writing calligraphy on the
glass window of the NCKU art center as a form of performance art.
Goran Škofic, an established Croatian artist, who is well known for
creating photographic collages and multi-media installation, will
exhibit works related to the sense of isolation in modern society.
An opening reception will be held at NCKU Art Center, 12pm-2pm, June 18.
The exhibition is free and all are welcome to visit and enjoy the work!
