Panama City Medical and Business Leader Named to Enterprise Florida Board(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TALLAHASSEE, Fla., April 8 -- The Florida Senate President's Office issued the following news release: Dr. Neal Dunn, founder and chairman of one of Florida's fastest-growing community banking groups, was appointed today as Florida Senate representative on the Enterprise Florida board of directors. Enterprise Florida is the state's public-private economic development organization, charged by the Legislature with overseeing more than $200 million in grants, loans, and business incentives designed to attract jobs and investment to the Sunshine State. Dr. Dunn, of Panama City, who is also a physician and Chief Executive Officer of two medical companies, was named by Senate President Don Gaetz (R-Niceville). "Dr. Dunn's diverse business and professional expertise will add significant value to Enterprise Florida," President Gaetz said. "Florida's health care sector already accounts for nearly 900,000 jobs and $52.5 billion in wages and other benefits. Increasingly, Florida is becoming a destination for specialty health care services and a proving ground for innovative research, medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical software companies." President Gaetz said Dunn's national reputation in health care will help Enterprise Florida attract medical practitioners to the state as well as new medical-related industries and jobs. As founding Chairman of Summit Bank, a successful five-bank group in Northwest Florida, Dr. Dunn has what President Gaetz calls "a solid main street understanding of Florida's financial services economy." Dr. Dunn founded and was President of Panama City Urological Center and the Bay Regional Cancer Center and has practiced medicine in Panama City for the past 20 years. He is Chief Executive Officer of Global CT and PET Imaging and Chief Medical Officer of the Advanced Urology Institute. Dr. Dunn, a former United States Army physician, and his wife, Leah, reside in Panama City. On the Enterprise Florida board, he replaces Hal Valeche, also a banker, from Palm Beach Gardens, whose term has expired. Dr. Dunn will serve until September 30, 2017.
