Saint-Gobain Introduces New Acrylic Foam Tapes: NORBOND A7200 and A7300

GRANVILLE, N.Y. --(Business Wire)--

Saint-Gobain is pleased to announce the launch of its newest, high-performance, double-sided acrylic bonding tapes: NORBOND™ A7200 and NORBOND™ A7300.

Both products are formulated for durable, long-lasting adhesion, as tested on a variety of surfaces and elevated temperatures. The viscoelastic properties of each tape allow for superior conformability, stretching, shock and stress absorption. Both tapes bond securely to dynamic, uneven surfaces.

"Our loyal converter and distributor base is always looking for new, high-performance bonding tapes to satisfy many industrial and automotive needs," states Steven Jette, Global Marketing Director for the Saint-Gobain Foams and Tapes business unit. "A7200 and A7300 are the first of many new products planned for release this year to address this demand."

Virtually invisible after application, NORBOND™ A7200 series tape is a transparent, double-sided acrylic core tape designed specifically for visual and design requirements common when bonding glass, bath or shower hardware, translucent signage or other clear surfaces. A7200 series tape maintins a high resistance to UV light, showing no change in clarity or color even after 500 hours of carbon arc weatherometer testing.

NORBOND™ A7300 series is a grey, coated, multi-layer foam tape designed for optimum bonding performance in many interior and exterior industrial applications. A7300 outperforms competitive foam tapes and can effectively replace other permanent fastening systems, like welds and rivets.
