BRIEF: Micron's Durcan joins board of Boise's MWI Veterinary Supply [The Idaho Statesman :: ]

(Idaho Statesman (Boise) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) March 11--MWI Veterinary Supply Inc. in Boise has named Mark Durcan, CEO of Micron Technology Inc., to its board of directors.

"Mark has an outstanding track record during his tenure as CEO of Micron, and we are confident that his executive, international and technology experience will benefit our board and company," said MWI CEO Jim Cleary.

Durcan, a Micron employee since 1984, succeeded Steve Appleton as CEO of the Boise memory-chip maker after Appleton died in a plane crash in February 2012. Micron is the second-largest memory company and the fourth-largest semiconductor company in the world.

Durcan will serve on the MWI board's compensation and corporate governance and nominating committees. MWI distributes animal health products across the United States and United Kingdom.
