BRIEF: Portland couple competes in 'Today' show 'Pop the Question' proposal video contest [The Oregonian, Portland, Ore. :: ]


(Oregonian (Portland, OR) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) March 04--Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy More than 800 couples submitted proposal videos to the "Today" show's "Pop the Question" contest, and a Portland couple is among the top three finalists.



Tony Palazzo, who is a vice president at an area marketing firm, and his fiancee Erica Waterman, a retail manager, are seen in their video (above) at a Christmas tree farm. Which means they have a special guest -- Santa Claus.

The videos are airing during the "Today" show hour hosted by Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford. Viewers are asked to vote on their favorite video.

Voting ends March 11.
