BRIEF: ATU Trustees OK $650K Tech Buy For Backup Data Storage [Times Record, Fort Smith, Ark. :: ]


(Times Record (Fort Smith, AR) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Feb. 22--The Arkansas Tech University Board of Trustees approved a $650,549 technology purchase Thursday that will provide networking equipment, server infrastructure and professional services for a back-up data facility at the ATU-Ozark Campus.



According to an ATU news release, Dell Financial Services will provide the equipment and services.

In other business, the trustees approved amending the undergraduate admissions policy for GED-holding students for the main campus at Russellville and the ATU-O campus. The updated policy changes the minimum GED score for admission from 450 to 600, and it changes the minimum GED score for scholarship eligibility from 580 to 680. The adjustments comply with new Arkansas Department of Higher Education and Arkansas Department of Career Education standards.
