Playbutton Corporation, an audio wearables company that connects brands with their customers through their product, the Playbutton, and Taida Company LLC, an audio processing and wearables company, today announced that they have merged to form Comhear, Inc.

Taida produces revolutionary eco-friendly memory bio-foam eartips for in-ear headsets called EarPuffs®, an over-the-ear bio-foam headset earpad called EarTOP™, and audio enhancement and immersion software called KAP (Kinetic Audio Processing). Playbutton is an audio wearables company that creates the Playbutton product, a patent-protected, fully customizable music player in a branded, wearable button. The Playbutton is the first product to offer the combination of a digital audio player combined with HD Audio music in one fashionable and wearable button.

According to IMS Research, the wearables market is poised to grow from 14 million devices shipped in 2011 to as many as 171 million units shipped by 2016. In a more recent estimate, ABI Research (News - Alert) pegs the wearables market at 485 million annual device shipments by 2018.
