Buksh Energy to venture into LED lighting solutions [Pakistan Press International]

(Pakistan Press International Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Buksh Energy Pvt. Limited has taken its first step to obtain the LED lights distributorship the new outlook as a solution of energy crisis. Buksh Energy is the first energy servicing private entity to do so. After having converted a vast range of bank branches and ATM networks to Solar energy solutions, Buksh Energy now aims to provide low cost LED lighting and help conserve energy sources in Pakistan. As the Energy crisis builds, Buksh Energy's objectives for 2014 remain not to increase energy solutions but rather the need for optimum energy solutions.

The Chairman of Buksh Group (the parent company of Buksh Energy Pvt. Ltd.) Asim Buksh said; "If renewable energy generation options are not adopted, the power shortage will become more acute - to 19000 MW by 2020, solar power generation is the cheapest source of energy." The company believes that efficiency is the key for which reason the company conducts thorough energy audits to ensure the elimination of any non-compliance of any form.

Throughout the energy scenario in Pakistan, other companies are also following suit in terms of energy audits conducted industry wide. Prior to LED lights Buksh Energy Pvt. Ltd. has been offering Smart Grid solutions to its various publics.

"We walk into a school, hospital or industry and conduct an energy audit for them to streamline energy consumption, an exercise which has helped our clients save 20-30 percent on electricity bills", says Fiza Farhan, Director Buksh Energy Pvt. Ltd.

Light-emitting diodes (LED) are semiconductor light sources that are used as indicator lamps in many devices and are increasingly used for general lighting. Early LEDs emitted low-intensity red light, but modern versions are available across the visible, ultraviolet, and infrared wavelengths, with very high brightness. They are known for electroluminescence, and the colour of the light is determined by the energy band gap of the semiconductor.

LEDs have many advantages over incandescent light sources including lower energy consumption, longer lifetime, improved physical robustness, smaller size, and faster switching. Light-emitting diodes are used in applications as diverse as aviation lighting, automotive lighting, advertising, general lighting and traffic signals.

LEDs have allowed new text, video displays, and sensors to be developed, while their high switching rates are also useful in advanced communications technology. Infrared LEDs are also used in the remote control units of many commercial products including televisions, DVD players and other domestic appliances.

LEDs are used to create a new form of wireless internet access called Li-Fi, or light fidelity.
