KSA, D'banj, Others For Glo Evergreen Series

(AllAfrica Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Leading telecommunications company, Globacom has unveiled plans for the second edition of its special music concert, Glo Evergreen Series, dedicated to the honour of legendary Nigerian musicians for their outstanding performances and contributions to the development and growth of the nation's music industry.

According to a statement released by Globacom, the second edition of the concert is dedicated to composer and juju music legend King Sunny Ade, for his consistency in the past 50 years and contribution to the genre.

The concert will hold at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on February 28, 2014, with KSA headlining the concert. The night will see a true blend of classic and contemporary music, as Kokomaster D' Banj and saxophonist Yemi Sax will join KSA on stage to entertain the guests.

The first edition of the concert was in honour of one of the country's true juju music legend, Chief Ebenezer Obey, in a night of fun, glamour, glitz and good music on September 28, 2013. Obey, in collaboration with M.I and Yemi Sax, thrilled the audience majorly made up of captains of industries, top government officials and service provider's premium subscribers.

This second edition, which has been hailed as a "true celebration of Nigerian music and true values of the legend on parade," will be attended by a number of KSA's fans - the young, industrialists, administrators, socialites and political aficionados - who will be extended 'exclusive' invitation.

The concert holds quarterly and each edition features a music legend who will play alongside young, talented musicians.
