SMC Networks, Inc. and Hitron Technologies Settle Legal Issues


IRVINE, Calif. & Hsinchu, TAIWAN --(Business Wire)--

SMC Networks, Inc. and Hitron Technologies (News - Alert) announced today that they have reached a settlement in the lawsuit filed by SMC in July 2012 against Hitron and two former SMC officers in federal court in California for trade secret misappropriation, business interference and breach of fiduciary duties.

SMC and Hitron agreed to a confidential settlement allowing for the dismissal of all charges. This settlement will allow both companies to remove all legal distractions and concentrate on their normal business activities. SMC and Hitron will continue working together on their common business interests in MSO customers and Hitron will continue to support its products provided to SMC.
