Despite reports that the 23-year-old actress was on the brink of becoming engaged to millionaire's son William Adamowicz, friends say the couple have parted because of her hectic film schedule. News of the split came before pictures emerged of former boyfriend Adamowicz, 23, with six white packets at a boozy New Year's Eve bash in New York. The Oxford graduate is seen with white powder spread across a table in front of him. Also on the table appears to be a rolled-up cigarette, a $100 bill and a New York subway MetroCard. The photograph, captioned: "HNY [Happy New Year] - with Will Adamowicz", was taken on January 1. Last night American Adamowicz confirmed he was no longer in a relationship with Emma, and denied the packets in the picture contained drugs. He said: "The picture is not compromising. It is not what you think. They are not packages. They are not drugs. They are just bits of scrap paper. I don't take any drugs." When asked what the white powder was, he failed to answer. The picture was posted on an open Facebook page, which can be accessed by anyone, by Adamowicz's friend Antoine Salagnon, using his profile name Antoine Abstrakt. SPOTTED The French actor was with Adamowicz to see in the new year. A second photograph shows the pair hugging as they smile at the camera. Within an hour of the Sunday Mirror making contact with him, the Facebook profile had been removed. Emma - best known for her role as Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter films - and Adamowicz met as students at Oxford in 2011. They were last spotted together in November at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in west London, watching acoustic folk rock trio The Staves. Emma is coy when it comes to talking about the men in her life, although she has had several relationships since finding global stardom. She claims she is no good at playing the dating game and has suggested that men are too scared by her "fame wall" to talk to her.
