NCSI updates smartphone technology [Times of Oman](Times of Oman Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Muscat: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has updated its Smartphone app to disseminate certain social and economic indicators. According to the NCSI, the updating of the app falls within the framework of the diversifying and strengthening dissemination of statistical information on part of the centre. "In addition, it is meant to expand the database and to facilitate dissemination of information for decision-makers, researchers and scholars," the NCSI said. Updating data The app has the facility for automatic updating of data, offline banners and improvised sharing options. The app can be downloaded on Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch and for Android, Windows and BlackBerry devices. The app is available for download via Google Play.
