Nexenta appoints new COO

Nov 07, 2013 (MarketLine via COMTEX) -- Nexenta, a provider of software-defined storage solutions, has announced the appointment of Phil Underwood as the new COO.

Phil joins Nexenta following seven years at Wyse Technology, where he held the same position. During his tenure at Wyse, Phil functioned as a pivotal part of the executive management team, reporting directly to the CEO. Phil joined Wyse in 2006 to help improve execution and streamline the company's operational model. In 2012, Dell acquired Wyse.

Prior to his years at Wyse, Phil held executive positions at IPLocks, MARGI Systems Inc., and ITT. Phil brings nearly 30 years of experience in the IT industry around improving operations, growing market share and strategic business development with a strong financial and operational management background. Phil also led several strategic programs around customer, partner and M&A transactions.
