Barbour's presentation will cover the current energy landscape and the technologies in development that will lead the way to an alternative energy future. "The U.S. power chain looks much the same as it has for decades, but significant change is coming sooner than many may expect," said Barbour. "Problems with the aging power grid -- including high cost, inconsistent performance and high CO2 emissions -- are sparking the development of alternative power models."
