Mitsubishi Electric's MDT701S and MDT552S LED Monitors Offer Energy Savings and Diverse Connectivity

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/26/13 -- Business professionals today want high tech, sleek-looking monitors that display brilliant moving or static images. Mitsubishi Electric Visual Solutions America, Inc. (http://www.mevsa.com/) has an impressive response to this demand with the introduction of the 70-inch MDT701S monitor -- one of the thinnest available today, and the 55-inch MDT552S -- featuring a super-thin bezel with a super-slim body depth.

When used with a standard mount, these monitors are less than four inches from the wall, which increases installation flexibility. They are currently shipping and will display at the Digital Signage Expo (DSE) in Las Vegas in Booth #422, February 26-27, 2013.

These new LCD monitors offer the latest edge-lit LED technology for eye-popping ads, information, and video images for use in a variety of commercial and business applications. They're particularly well suited to applications that require exceptional operational durability and performance reliability.

Other key features include: Energy Star® compliant. Front- and rear-ambient light sensors that detect lighting conditions in two areas. These sensors automatically adjust the monitor's brightness level, balance image brightness for optimum viewing, and use less energy in areas with high ambient light. A robust jack panel that provides a diverse, versatile set of connectivity options for quick and simple installation in a wide range of environments. An Intel OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) Card Slot for flexibility in expansion and scalability. Two built-in 10W speakers that fire downward to eliminate sound reverberation, which often occurs with wall-facing, rear-mounted speakers. USB Hub for direct connectivity through a variety of devices. AMX / Crestron RoomView® compatibility for easy integration and installation.

With their unique built-in, plug-and-play USB hub, these new Mitsubishi professional monitors make linking to many devices easy. Users simply attach a video conference camera, mouse and keyboard directly to the monitor, avoiding the need to use multiple cables leading to the source computer. Five additional hubs can be cascaded onto the system allowing up to sixteen separate peripherals to be connected simultaneously.

As the first manufacturer to announce a Crestron Connected™ display, Mitsubishi Electric is committed to building new professional LED monitors that can easily integrate with any enterprise network using standard Ethernet cable and Crestron drivers. For quick point-to-point network management and control, users simply download free RoomView® Express software to any connected laptop or PC. Server-based Fusion RV™ can be selected for global enterprise management from anywhere, anytime, using any web-enabled laptop computer, Apple® or Android™ smart phone or tablet. The displays can be seamlessly monitored, managed and controlled using either RoomView Express or Fusion RV, without requiring programming. Or, users take full control of the display from any Crestron control system.

"Digital signage and conference room applications need professional-grade, flat panel monitors that are beautifully designed yet robust and easy to install and use," says James Chan, vice president, Mitsubishi Electric Visual Solutions America, Inc. "Our new monitors combine features that are important to today's integrators and sophisticated end users in a sleekly designed exterior that everybody can install anywhere they see fit." Not all content comes in HD resolution, so these new professional-grade LED monitors use Mitsubishi Electric's proprietary algorithms to create Super Resolution. This takes a standard definition image and translates it into high-definition for an incredibly rich, detailed image.
