BRIEF: ironSource acquires AfterDownload for $28m [Globes, Tel Aviv, Israel](Globes (Tel Aviv) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Feb. 20--Israeli online software distribution company ironSource Israel (2011) Ltd. has acquired Israeli advertising technology and network company AfterDownload Ltd. to expand its integrated distribution, installation and value-building tools for software developers, publishers and advertisers. Israeli media reports that the price was $28 million. ironSource says that its InstallCore application distribution platform manages over 100 million installation a month, and has managed over 1.2 billion installations to date. The Tel Aviv-based company was founded in 2009 by COO Tamir Carmi. Investors included Viola Group unit Carmel Ventures. "Together with ironSource, we can provide publishers and advertisers alike a more comprehensive package to maximize the download funnel," said AfterDownload CEO Omer Kaplan.
